Liverpool 3 – 1 Newcastle United Highlights (Video)

Liverpool won this crucial last fixture of the year in an impressive fashion as their captain fantastic Steven Gerard was at his best after a long time. Craig Bellamy was the man who did most of the destruction as he scored 2 goals. But it was when Steven Gerard replaced Charlie Adam during the 60th minute, at that point the game turned towards Liverpool and then their was no looking back.

Newcastle United was the first one to score with Yohan Cabaye heading the ball and then deflected by Daniel Agger. But the Reds came back with Bellamy and did not allow Newcastle to come back in to match.

Gary Cahill Deal ‘Miles Apart’ Says Andres Villas Boas

Chelsea coach Andres Villas Boas has said that Chelsea and Gary Cahill deal is still miles apart from completion.

It had appeared earlier that Chelsea had signed Gary Cahill from Bolton Wanderers for a fee of £7 million. But Chelsea manager Andres Villas Boas today said that the deal is not completed yet and the player has not yet agreed personal terms.

Earlier, Bolton boss Owen Coyle also admitted that a deal has been struck with Chelsea which makes Gary Cahill the first January signing for the Portuguese.

Thierry Henry Back in Arsenal on a 2 Month Loan

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that former gunner legend Thierry Henry has joined them back for on a 2 month loan deal from New York Red Bulls.

Arsene Wenger is spreading the Christmas goodies all across the Emirates Stadium as he brings back goal scoring Thierry Henry back at Arsenal on a 2 month loan deal. The deal has been summed up as a replacement for Gervinho and Chamakh, both of whom would be unavailable due to the African Nations Cup.

Arsene Wenger did also pressed on the point that he does not expect Henry to be of the old and be a leader but more as a player which could help the team with his experience.

Thierry Henry at any age would be a handful for he defenders and this relation could turn out to be useful for Arsenal in this tough season. And it looks like The Professor is back at his meticulous best with fringe signings.

Cash rich Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has roped in former AC Milan and Chelsea manager to manage the football club. Carlo Ancelotti would be replacing Antoine Kombouare, who managed the club for two years. There were a lot of complications in the appointment of the Italian as the Antoine Kombouare hadn’t resigned, till few hours ago of the time when the Italian was announced as the new coach.

With the Qatari backing, PSG has already spent more than £82 million on players and has also brought another former Milan coach Leonardo to be Director of Football at the club.

With such money backing PSG are aiming high and would want to enter UEFA Champions League next season. They have already been ousted in the current Europa League season. There could also be an influx of star players in the team. One of them could be David Beckham, who is out of contract with LA Galaxy and is looking for options to play.
