After more than a fortnights work of negotiations, finally Gary Cahill has completed a move to Chelsea to Bolton Wanderers. The English defender has been pondering over personal terms all this time and a deal has finally been accepted by all the 3 parties. The fee is undisclosed at this point of time but it is believed to be somewhere around £7 million.
Gary Cahill was earlier demanding a salary of around £100,00 per week but negotiations with Chelsea CEO Ron Gourlay took the deal through with the player satisfied with a £80,000 per week salary.
Bolton boss Owen Coyle has been left with a big hole on defence after Cahill’s departure and is now hoping to fill up the gap by grabbing USA national Tim Ream as Cahill’s replacement.
