Emanuele Pesoli Goes on Hunger Striker Against Match Fixing Ban, Chains Himself to the Italian Football Federation Gates

Verona defender Emanuele Pesoli has taken on his own after he was banned for 3 years by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) for his part in the recent match fixing scandal.

In an act of rebuttal Emanuele Pesoli has chained himself at the gates of FIGC headquarters.

The defender said to Gazzetta dello Sport, ‘I am hurt by the sentence and I would like to confront those who accuse me. It is a strong protest but they are ruining my life for something I have not done. I will stay here until I can’t do it anymore.’
