Can Yuvraj make it a grand comeback against the Kiwis?

The India vs New Zealand series has been badly weather affected so far with all the three matches including the two test matches having been interrupted by rain. Tomorrow may not be too different with the weatherman predicting a cloudy day for the south Indian city.

Vizag was a big disappointment as thousands of cricket fans reached the stadium for what was not just Yuvraj Singh’s comeback match but also the first T20 International for the city.

After their much improved performance in the 2nd Test match, the Kiwis would be expected to deliver a stronger performance in the T20 game, and we can look forward to an exciting match, the weather gods permitting that is.

Likely teams:

India:

1. Virender Sehwag

2 Gautam Gambhir

3. Virat Kohli

4. Suresh Raina

5. Yuvraj Singh

6 Rohit Sharma

7 MS Dhoni (captain and  wicket-keeper)

8. Irfan Pathan

9. R Ashwin

10. Zaheer Khan

11. Ashok Dinda

For both the teams this is going to be the last international before the ICC World T20 action gets underway in Sri Lanka. Therefore the players would all be keen to get out in the middle and get some real match practise before the World Cup gets underway. Of course, Yuvraj Singh would be more keen than any other to see how well he has recovered.

New Zealand (likely squad)

1. Martin Guptill

2. Brendon McCullum (wicket-keeper)

3. Ross Taylor (captain)

.4 Kane Williamson

5. Rob Nicol

6. Jacob Oram

7. Daniel Vettori8. James Franklin

9. Doug Bracewell

10. Tim Southee

11. Kyle Mills

Under a cloudy sky, the Kiwi pacers might turn out to be a handful for the Indian batsmen and that should set up for a close contest. It could be a perfect finish for this smallish tour of New Zealand.
