Arsenal Transfer News | 17 Dec 12
Arsene Wenger is perhaps looking at his most busiest January transfer window with his critics growing in number very rapidly. The failure of Gervinho up front means that Arsenal will definitely be strenghthening that department. The gunners are strongly linked with Schalke’s Dutch striker Huntelaar but Athletic Bilbao’s Fernando Llorente looks like the number one target.
Llorente has fallen out with Bilbao is not really a news to anyone and a striker of such ability will be good for any team. Hence Arsenal will face a tough test with other clubs also eyeing up the player. But their have been rumors that Santi Cazorla is pushing his fellow Spaniard to make a move to the London side.
Llorente’s contract with Bilbao ends this coming summer and a transfer is most likely to be agreed in January. The Spaniard has just started one game for Bilbao this season and is not the most favorite of the crowd hence a move right now makes a lot of sense for the striker. It remains to be seen where he would land up as clubs like Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Juventus and Arsenal all want him.
