[ad#m1] Fulham vs QPR | Craven Cottage | 1 Apr 2013
From recent interviews with the Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp, it is quite clear that he wants at least four wins from their last eight games, one of them being against Fulham in this West London derby in order to prevent the last position in the points table.
This match will be one of the most interesting and significant fixtures of the Barclays Premier league as we witness former Fulham striker Bobby Zamora, who has recovered from injury to face his old team-mates in a must-win game for QPR.
Zamora was in Fulham for four years and in 2010, he led the team amazingly well to the Europa League final. And his goals against Juventus and Shakhtar were undoubtedly the ones to keep note of.
Fulham have had 2 wins and 1 loss whereas QPR have got 2 wins and 3 losses in their past five encounters.
Redknapp said, “Bobby is so important for us. I went and watched when Fulham played Juventus that night, and that was probably one of the best footballing nights I have ever been to. Fulham were 4-1 down on aggregate, but what a night of football. Bobby ripped Juventus to pieces – ripped the backside out of them. So he ought to go back to Craven Cottage and get a fantastic welcome. Years ago people would go back to their old club and get a standing ovation; the entire crowd would clap them. Now, dear oh Lord, what has happened?”
Well, Bobby Zamora has a key role to play in the game as Redknapp firmly believes that as long as Zamora is there in the team, he might see his expectations come true.
The last time these two teams had come face to face at Craven Cottage was on 2nd October in 2011 and Fulham beat QPR 6-0.
