Aston Villa vs Chelsea 2-0 Highlights, NextGen Series Final

[ad#m1] Aston Villa are the champions of 2012/13 edition of The NextGen Series. The Villans won 2-0  against a flamboyant Chelsea U19 side after two goals from the spot for Graham Burke. Inter Milan U19 side were the champions last season when they beat Ajax on penalties.

It looks like the Villa academy is shining bright. It would come as shock to many, considering the appalling form of their senior side but the future seems bright for them. Donacien looks like a promising defender with great presence and calmness in the box.

The only shame was that the match was held on a horrible pitch at Giuseppe Sinigaglia.

Chelsea’s Lewis Baker named ‘Player of the Tournament’ after a superb NextGen campaign.

On another note, seriously liking the way Graham Burke takes his penalties. A calm and cool run up and then a booming left foot hit. Certainly a player to watch out for.

Starting line ups for the final:

Aston Villa – Watkins, Webb, Kinsella, Calder, Donacien, Lewis, Barton, Carruthers, Robinson, Burke, Grealish
Chelsea – Beeney, Christiensen, Davey (75), Pappoe, Wright, Ake, Kiwomya, Loftus-Cheek (70), Feruz, Baker, Boga
