Christian Benteke, phenomenal throughout the season, scored an impeccable hat-trick as Aston Villa went goal crazy against Sunderland. The Belgian has become one of the best signings of the last summer transfer window when he moved to Villa from Genk.

Matt Lowton had a super game too as he did not put a foot wrong throughout the match. Stéphane Sessegnon was show a straight red card for tackle on Sylla in the 71st minute.

The Villa Park faithful rose to salute Christian Benteke when he was replaced by Darren Bent. Nobody would be surprised if the Belgian ends up in the top seven sides of the Premier League.

Earlier Vlaar scored a 30 yard belter, Weimann and Agbonlahor added the remaining two.
