AZ won the 4th KNVB cup in their history through couple of quick goals in the first half. It was the American, Jozy Altidore again, as he netted another which turned out to be the match winner. His 32nd goal in all competitions this season.

And this happened two minutes after Adam Maher had given AZ the lead through a simple finish.

The finals turned out to be an extremely entertaining and thrilling encounter as Jeremain Lens saw his shot come off the post in the very dying minutes of the game.

Jurgen Locadia scored the first goal for PSV through a header and the come back looked certain. But, unfortunately it never came, they went very close a number of times though which include 3 penalty shouts which looked quite dangerous for AZ.

This Dutch Cup final win means the first cup win for coach Gertjan Verbeek since he joined the club in 2010.
