[ad#m1] Since Alex Ferguson announced his retirement, the transfer rumors surrounding striker Wayne Rooney have been coming out in full force. Connecting the player with clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, PSG etc.

The rumors solidified through another rumor that Wayne Rooney has removed ‘Manchester United’ from his Twitter bio.

David Moyes appointment as Manchester United manager also became a factor in Rooney leaving the club.

But, to end all speculations or at least remove the mystery around his Twitter bio, Wayne Rooney made an announcement on his official website.

The announcement read, ‘There’s a load of rubbish being written about me changing twitter bio saying I have deleted Manchester United from it.
I have never deleted Manchester United from the bio whatever the papers are saying because it was never on there.
All that happened was that I was asked by Nike to add @nikeuk to it – the same as many other sportspeople they sponsor.
Funny, no-one’s written about that though!
That change was made THREE weeks ago and yet people are talking about it as if its something that was put up yesterday..’
