Bjorn Ruytinx, who plays for Oud-Heverlee Leuven in the Belgian Pro League (Jupiler League) has a bit of a reputation of being a ‘nasty (four letter word)’. And he didn’t exactly helped himself in the match against Standard Liege.
As he went on a did a really bad tackle on Liege’s Moroccan player Mehdi Carcela and apparently broke his ankles. What is more disturbing that Ruytinx was seen smiling at Carcela after the tackle.
At which point Carcela probably lost all the cool he had and whacked Ruytinx on the face. It was brutal.
Ruytinx got yellow for the tackle, Carcela got red for the punch.
We have no idea which part was more mental, watch the incident below and decide yourself.
