Tottenham Hotspur out of flavour striker Jermain Defoe is rumored to have agreed a $150,000/week deal with Toronto FC of Major League Soccer. The forward has been sparingly used this season by Andre Villas Boas due to the influx of Spanish striker Roberto Soldado in the last transfer window.
Premier league side QPR were reportedly interested in his services but Toronto FC have got one over QPR with a significant improvement on his salary which Defoe is currently receiving at Spurs.
His possible new club come this January, are managed by his former Tottenham colleague Ryan Nelsen who has offered to help settle his family in the new country.
Stay tuned for more updates as Tottenham are likely to look out for a new striker in January with the likes of Soldado misfiring and Adebayor having an indifferent season.
