Referee counted 11 steps as Tom Lawrence hit a super free kick against Crewe

A controversial moment from the referee in Crewe Alexandra’s 2-1 win over Carlisle United. The sole goal from Carlisle was scored by Manchester United loanee Tom Lawrence. A  spectacular free kick at the 78th minute of the game. But just moment before the free kick was taken, referee Darren Drysdale took 11 steps instead of the usual 10 to as he was making sure the Crewe wall was standing at the allowed distance.
