WOAH! Del Bosque didn’t knew it was David Villa’s last game for Spain.

Vicente Del Bosque dropped a clanger in the post  match conference after Spain won 3-0 against Australia, as he admitted he was oblivious to the fact that it was David Villa’s last game for Spain national team.

The Spain boss substituted the striker during the 3-0 win over Australia, and the 32-year-old was then pictured in tears on the bench. Villa is heading for the MLS to play for New York City, but Del Bosque insists he knew nothing of his decision to end his career with Spain.

“He (Villa) certainly seemed very annoyed. He said it was his last game, but I didn’t know that. I’m sure he was upset,”

“All I was thinking about is that it was time to kill off the game and we did that.”

David Villa was visibly upset at his substitution and couldn’t contain his emotions, in tears as he left the pitch, substituted in the second half.
