German newspaper Bild are reporting that Manchester United have launched their first bid to capture Bayern Munich’s Bastian Schweinsteiger. LVG is apparently looking for an experienced right-footed defensive minded midfielder and the 30 year old German international appears to be an ideal candidate to fill up that spot.
United have reportedly offered a two year contract, which will see Schweinsteiger earn €10m per year.
Schweinsteiger’s future has been much discussed in Germany due to the amount of players at Bayern who play in the same position, other players being the Spanish duo of Xabi Alonso and Javi Martinez and also captain Philipp Lahm.
Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has also mentioned several times, that a player with the experience of Schweinsteiger has the right to decide his future himself and no one would force him to stay or leave the club.
