OFFICIAL: Bayern chairman confirms Bastian Schweinsteiger’s transfer to Man Utd

Bastian Schweinsteiger will be the first ever German player to play for Manchester United!

Bayern Munich Chief Executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed that an agreement with Manchester United has been achieved and Bastian Schweinsteiger will leave this summer, as he wants “a new experience” at the end of his career.

The World Cup winner is expected to complete his medical at Manchester United and sign the contract imminently!

Bayern’s new signing Joshua Kimmich, too, confirmed Schweinsteiger’s departure during the team presentation, “I find it a pity that Schweinsteiger’s gone, I would have loved to learn from him”

For Schweinsteiger, a move to the Premier League will end a 13-year association with the Bundesliga, having made his debut for Bayern Munich back in 2002.
