Robin van Persie was highly appreciative of Ed Woodward as he took his first press conference as a Fenerbahce player. The Dutchman said, “I highly appreciate the work of Ed Woodward, the CEO of Manchester United. The way he dealt with this transfer is from a high level, it’s very classy.”

“He proved he’s a true gentleman in the way he dealt with the whole situation. And I do really appreciate that. Ed, if you’re listening, thank you.”

RVP, though, hasn’t yet officially completed his move from Man Utd to Fenerbahce as the two clubs are yet to agree a fee. Which explains why there hasn’t been any announcement from Manchester United’s official channels.
