(Quotes) Belgium boss brutally lays into Chelsea star after the 1-0 win against Cyprus

Chelsea star Eden Hazard struck a late goal (video below) but it wasn’t enough to impress his manager!

Marc Wilmots minced no words while describing Eden Hazard’s performance on the night as Belgium edged closer to book their place in the 2016 Euros after a narrow 1-0 win over Cyprus.

“He (Hazard) was the worst tonight,” Wilmots said. “I thought about substituting him, but in the last 10 minutes he always has the ability to do that. At the World Cup, this was the case. I obviously expect more from him, but he will grow as the season progresses.”

Liverpool’s new signing Christian Benteke was also accused by the Belgium coach to have put in a “half performance” before he was substituted at halftime.

And the lambasting didn’t stop there, “We have now won two games in a row but this is the worst team performance I have seen and we will try to rectify the issue.”
