Reports from Turkey are claiming that Besiktas have reached an agreement in principle with Chelsea defender Papy Djilobodji. The news emerged after Besiktas’s former Sporting Director Sinan Engin stated the same live on Beyaz TV’s ‘Beyaz Futbol’ show.
Chelsea signed the Senegal defender from Nantes for £2.7 million two days before the last transfer window closed.
The only appearance for Djilobodji in the Blues shirt came in when he made his debut & replaced Falcao in the injury time during the third round 4-1 League Cup win away to Walsall.
The Senegalese time at Chelsea looked bleak from the start as boss Jose Mourinho had admitted that Papy Djilobodji was “not his choice”.
