It’s fairly common knowledge for everyone associated with football, be it the fans, coaches, staffs or players themselves, that the press and media often tend to blow news and rumours alike out of proportion.
This latest news by ‘The Sun’, one of the leading English tabloids, will have the Leeds United faithful feeling uneasy with its report of owner Massimo Cellino wanting to bring Barnsley’s assistant head coach Tom Wright to Elland Road.
This appointment, they reported will be done without the approval of Garry Monk. The report certainly does not seem to stem from reliable sources as such reality of the situation cannot be ascertained at this time.
There have been reports that Monk doesn’t want another staff member which is causing discord with Cellino. Other reports claim that Cellino is appointing behind Monk’s back as the manager nears the axe.
Safe to say there would be a massive outrage if the Italian gets rid of the former Swansea boss. Check out the bit from The Sun below!
