Jurgen Klopp handed Loris Karius his Liverpool debut during the 3-0 win in the League Cup clash against Derby County last night.
And it was a strong showing from the German, who immediately drew comparisons with perhaps the world’s best goalkeeper currently and his compatriot Manuel Neuer.
The Liverpool new boy was spotted channeling his inner Neuer as he stood closer to the centre circle than to the goal posts whenever Liverpool attacked. A trait highly associated with the Bayern Munich keeper.
The fans were even more thrilled as the debutant keeper sprinted off his line to perform a crunching slide tackle on an onrushing Darren Bent just moments before half-time. Check out the instance below!
At only twenty-three, the German definitely has the potential to grow and become Liverpool’s own Manuel Neuer; although with better hair!
