Everton versus Crystal Palace ended with both of the Belgian strikers scoring in a 1-1 draw last night. Romelu Lukaku opened scoring with a majestic freekick in the first half, but his counterpart Christian Benteke was more than up to the part as he powered in a brilliantly accurate header to equalize in the 50th minute.
Benteke’s goal, one of the best header I’ve seen in a long time. pic.twitter.com/oJGdiNLvDA

The former Liverpool man returned to Merseyside for the first time since his 35-million-pound transfer to the Eagles and scored his fifth goal in six appearances against the Toffees.
The big Belgian needed a confidence boost in his career with his much publicized stint at Liverpool not turning out as all the parties involved would have hoped. And he seems to have found the same with Crystal Palace.
Many opinionated that Palace were overpaying for the striker, looking at his Liverpool record, but he looks like money well spent; his quality is evident in the beautiful header against Everton last night.
Last season Palace had everything but an efficient striker and this led to the mini-collapse post-Christmas period. But now, with the lethal Belgian leading the front-line, Crystal Palace have what they have been missing sorely for too long- a focal point for their attacks and a striker who can put those chances away.

The love I have for Christian Benteke is reaching a dangerous level.
The man is a god.

Danger of becoming a bit one dimensional with Benteke in the team but my God he's sensational at times. Best in the air in the league.

Blimey Benteke is so good at that. Generating that power from that cross is extraordinary.

Just left Goodison. What a brilliant second-half performance. Benteke different gravy

Brilliant header from Benteke, pinned the full-back & easily beat him in the air. Took age to go in but unstoppable right in the corner.

Excellent point. Benteke almost certainly the best forward Palace have ever had.

I've been a Palace fan since 20th December 1992. Benteke is already the best #cpfc striker I've ever seen. He's just another level.

I said to @domfifield that Benteke would be one of the best signings this summer. £30m was a relative bargain in mental summer market

Christian Benteke has been utterly faultless for us since the day he signed.
£30 million very well spent.

Benteke, best header of the ball in the league, thriving in the side who deliver the most crosses in the league, no surprise. Good on him.
