After a brilliant last season, West Ham have been unable to carry that form onto the new season. With lacklustre performances languishing the club in the 18th place, after already making an exit from the Europa League, losing in the play-offs against minnows Astra Giurgiu.
Amidst all the gloom, there was one instance of happiness for West Ham supporters as youngster Domingos Quina struck an immense 40 yard goal against Leicester’s U23s on Saturday.
The young Portuguese attacking midfielder, signed from Chelsea in the summer is one of the most sought after talents in the Premier League and his signing for West Ham amidst interest from Manchester United and Arsenal represented quite a coup for the Hammers.
Quina, after receiving the ball in the centre circle, spotted the goalie off his line and then went on to produce an amazing lob which evaded the backtracking keeper’s hands.
Cracking stuff, check out the goal below!
