Champions Leicester City were once more humbled as Chelsea brushed past them with a convincing 3-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.
Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Victor Moses all scored to make it a near perfect evening for the Blues with the only blemish involving a row between Costa and Conte.
Diego Costa always been known to have a penchant for squabbles on the pitch and the hothead once more let his temper get the better of him as he angrily reacted to Conte’s yelling at him.
Two theories at work here:
First – The striker reportedly gestured to be substituted, as he did not like Antonio Conte telling him off for failing to create goal-scoring opportunity and yelled “cámbiame si no te gusta”, which roughly translates to “change me if you do not like”. The theory substantiated by Marca here.
Another theory is that Costa wanted to avoid a potential suspension for the Man Utd game as he was already on 4 cards.
