Arsenal swatted away their Champions League group stage opponents Ludogorets Razgrad with little apparent effort, as they ran out 6-0 winners at the Emirates last night. The win sees them maintain their first place in the group, and takes them onto the verge of qualification into the next stages of the tournament.
The Man of the Match was Mesut Ozil, as the German scored his first professional hat-trick against the minnows. But the adequate foil to his performances were given by a host of other Arsenal players, mainly Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez was on fire last night, outwitting the defenders in the filthiest possible ways. He opened the scoring for the night, with a delicious chipped goal.
The former Barcelona man’s sharpness on the night was evident in one such pass, as he chipped the ball over a host of defenders into the box for Oxlade-Chamberlain with a Ronaldinho-esque no-look scooped pass.
