There’s an overwhelming number of Arsenal players in WhoScored’s Champions League Team of the Week

Arsenal produced one of the most comprehensive displays in this Champions League season, beating group minnows Ludogorets Razgrad 6-0 at the Emirates on Wednesday.

The goal frenzy, along with the clean sheet shows how good Arsenal were in all departments of the game. So it should come as no surprise that WhoScored’s Champions League team of the week consists mainly of Arsenal players this time.

The Gunners have six players representing them amongst the outfield players, particularly dominating the midfield. The clean sheet in the match sees central defensive duo of Mustafi and Koscielny find their places in the TOTW.

An obvious inclusion in hat-trick Hero Mesut Ozil and dominating performances from his midfield partners in Francis Coquelin & Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain meant that Arsenal received three out of four midfield places in the team.

A sizzling all-round display, capped off with the opening goal sees Alexis Sanchez keep his place upfront, partnering PSG hitman and group rival Edinson Cavani. Check out the full XI below!

Arsenal have all but qualified for the latter stages of the tournament, and they have a real chance of topping the group, as they travel to Bulgaria for the next matchday.
