List: CIES report reveals Tottenham lead the pack when it comes to young player recruitment in England

The latest findings of the CIES Football Observatory Monthly Report show top clubs tend to focus chiefly on recruiting young players compared to other lower ranked teams.

Real Madrid top the rankings with their current recruitment age of 22.5 years. While the top 3 clubs from England are Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester United, who are ranked 5th, 8th and 9th in the standings.

Its not surprising considering the players the three clubs have signed in the past few years. Spurs have brought in the likes of Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen, Heung-Min Son, Dele Alli, Eic Dier and Toby Alderweireld while Liverpool have also made young signings such as that of Emre Can, Roberto Firmino, Nathaniel Clyne and Divock Origi.

Manchester United despite bringing in Ibrahimovic at 34 years make into the top 10 of the rankings thanks to the signings of Luke Shaw, Memphis Depay, Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly.
