(Video) Chelsea hit N’golo Kante breaking Oriol Romeu’s ankles during Southampton win

Chelsea produced a defensive masterclass as they saw off a youthful Southampton side 2-0 at St. Mary’s Stadium. The win was a typical Antonio Conte affair- quick, lethal counter-attacks based on defensive solidity.

A resurgent Eden Hazard continued his fine run of form, scoring one himself and helping Diego Costa for the second goal. However, the win was epitomized by the performances of one man- N’Golo Kante.

The Frenchman turned in a brilliant performance at the heart of midfield, and was peerless throughout. He also showed his flair in a few occasions, with some skills and tricks on the opposition player.

The best one was a lovely change of direction on Oriol Romeu. Kante received the ball, noticing the Spaniard chasing him with zest, before producing a flawless stop-and-turn. Romeu, unable to turn so quick, slipped and fell down as a result, embarrassed.

Check out the turn from Kante below!
