In Philippe Coutinho, Liverpool arguably have the best player of the League in their ranks right now. The midfielder, dubbed as the “Magician” is the most in-form player in the League, having already registered four goals and as many assists this season.
Coutinho has impressed a host of pundits with his performances, but apparently, none are as impressed as BBC columnist Garth Crooks.
The BBC man included him in his TOTW after the Man of the Match display against Crystal Palace last weekend, and bizarrely, went on to compare him to the legendary chess player Boris Spassky.
In his observation, the trait Coutinho shares with the chess legend is the immaculate ability to pull off moves that nobody else sees coming.
