(Video) Man Utd’s Paul Pogba was on target for France during the 2-1 Sweden win last night

France played Sweden in a potentially tricky match in the Group A qualifying last night. A win for Sweden would have seen them jump up to the top, demoting the French to second place, and blowing the Group A qualifying race wide open.

Sweden looked on course for a win, as they opened the scoring with Emil Forsberg’s deflected free-kick. But barely three minutes later, Paul Pogba showed why he was the world’s most expensive player, towering over everyone to hit a thumping header home off the crossbar.

With West Ham’s Dimitri Payet capitalizing on some sloppy goal-keeping to slot home the winner, the French escaped the match with three points.

But all eyes will be on Pogba, as he looks to sustain his form in the upcoming friendly against Ivory Coast, then the crunch clash against title challengers Arsenal in the Premier League.
