On a night when Premier League players shone in their national teams, Tottenham’s playmaker Christian Eriksen was one of the brightest performers. The Dane was in the lineup for the Group E clash against bottom placed Kazakhstan, and looked lively throughout.
The highlight of his match was his second goal, Denmark’s fourth, which came in added time. The Tottenham player received the ball around the centre-line, and proceeded to run forward towards the goal, taking on defenders.
In a Messi-esque way, he blew past three opponents with his impeccable technique, before slotting the ball past the Kazakh goalkeeper.
The win sees the Danes occupy the third position in the Group, just four behind leaders Poland, and one behind second-placed Montenegro.
