When Bastian Schweinsteiger was recently allowed to train with United’s first team, suspicions arose that it was a move done purely to let the midfielder get into better shape before a potential January move.
A recent lunch meeting attended by the German midfielder will fuel the flames of those rumours even more. That’s because Schweinsteiger’s four-hour lunch meeting was with none other than Chicago Fire head coach Veljko Paunovic.
A move to the MLS would suit Schweinsteiger at this stage of his career. However, with no official confirmations made just yet, fans will just have to wait and watch.
