Frank Lampard, the name in itself is enough to send Chelsea fans into nostalgia. The Englishman had over 600 appearances for the West London club, and still remains the club’s all-time top goalscorer with 211 goals.
After he was let go from Chelsea, the midfielder spent a controversial spell at rivals Manchester City, and then moved on to their sister club New York City FC.
Lampard recently announced that he will not be staying at the New York club beyond this season, after guiding them to the play-offs for the first time in their history.
Amidst the doubts over his future, there were whispers of Chelsea offering him a coaching role at the club. And now, this reply from the official Chelsea official Instagram would suggest that the club are definitely in talks with the legend for a return.
