Newcastle United took on Leeds United at Elland Road last night with both teams in exceptional form coming into the tie. But it was the Tyneside club that prevailed 2-0 on the night.
A Dwight Gayle brace was enough to seal a comfortable win for the Toon. The former Crystal Palace man is Championship’s top scorer with thirteen goals already in this campaign.
It must have been a welcome feeling for him after the recent controversial incidents during the International break.
The 10-million-pound frontman was out celebrating teammate Jamaal Lascelles’ birthday, when an altercation saw him getting punched on the face.
The striker was rumored to have lost four teeth as a result, and the Black-and-White Army were quick to write up a quick chant on the matter. After the match , Newcastle fans sang, “Dwight Gayle, he scores with no teeth” as the players headed off the pitch.
