Juan Mata>Coutinho – United man consistently outshining PL stalwarts when it comes to big game influence (Image)

Juan Mata has been in sparkling form this season. The Spaniard is finally looking like the classy player he was when he left Chelsea, and the irony that he’s performing so well under the manager that offloaded him to United in the first place won’t be lost on anyone.

However, in the three seasons prior to this, Mata’s name got lost in the shuffle whilst discussing the best players in the Premier League. This was mainly due to his inconsistent performances at Manchester United.

However, a piece of info released by Sky Sports’ stats team is just another reminder of how good Mata has been.

In games against “top 6” Premier League opposition, Mata is the most consistent performer. His influence on big games is better than the likes of Eden Hazard, Mesut Ozil and Philippe Coutinho.

Check out his output levels in big games below:

  1. £37.1m > £8.5 million (BBC)

For nearly £30 million more it seems unfair to compare the two.
It’ll be interesting to see who eventually sells for more profit.
It’s ALL paying for a bigger Anfield & strength in depth w/o Debt.
You don’t NEED to buy the world’s best players to win stuff (although it often helps).
You need the STRONGEST team and/or the better tactician.
It’s pretty clear to see that Utd are ‘on the ropes’ for anyone to have to highlight such a meaningless collection of statistics, given their dreadful season so far & ‘The Entitled One’s insanely overpriced panic-buys.

    BUY,
    BUY,
    BYE
    THE TITLE.

~ Chelsea, Man City & Man Utd (2016).
