Tottenham came up with the most dramatic of wins as an inspired Harry Kane brace saw them snatch a 3-2 win over London rivals West Ham United. The win ended Spur’s recent demoralising run of 7 matches without a win and ensured that they remain the only team yet to be beaten this season.
While Kane may have rightly taken the plaudits, it was the performance of hitherto unknown youngster Harry Winks that was just as pivotal to Sunday’s win. The U-21 England international was given a baptism of fire with a full debut in the derby and he more than justified his inclusion with a stunning performance which included the opening goal for Tottenham.
Winks, a boyhood Spurs fan fulfilled every fan’s dream of scoring for one’s own team and his excitement for the win was evident as he cleared the ball away to bring about the final whistle from the referee.
The youngster was seen clearly savouring the win doing some adorable celebrations at the referee’s final whistle.
