The Tottenham-West Ham rivalry while not being the most glamorous or fiercest of derbies, certainly ranks as a queer one by the fact that it is treated with total irrelevance from the Tottenham fans.

West Ham fans on the other hand with every opportune moment go out of their way to try to give the rivalry a sort of relevance. And it was clear again on Tuesday as tweets and trolls from the Hammers fans surfaced following Tottenham’s failure to qualify for the knock-out stages of the Champions League as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Monaco.

One Hammer fan in particular made sure not to miss the occasion as he went to the extent of changing his name and display picture to launch a scathing jibe at the North London rivals.

And to everyone’s surprise, the tweet received a lot of recognition and still continues to do so.
