Celtic made history on Sunday as the club cruised to their 100th trophy with a 3-0 win over Aberdeen in the Betfred League Cup final. Despite being clear favourites on the night, the fact that Celtic had won the League Cup just two times in the past decade promised for an intriguing cup final tie.
But strikes from Tom Rogic, James Forrest and Moussa Dembele ensured that Rodgers’ men continued their pursuit for a treble this season.
Celtic Captain Scott Brown was brilliant on the night as he led by example putting in a master-class of a performance in midfield. And apart from spraying passes, harrying opponents and dominating the proceedings, the Scot was also spotted adding a little bit of flair to his play with a cheeky no look pass with the back of his foot as Celtic were up 3-0 in the second half.
