Chelsea’s defensive stability has played a big role in their table-topping campaign thus far. Whilst the reinvigorated Diego Costa and Eden Hazard have spearheaded the attack to perfection, their defence has been just as impressive, keeping six clean sheets in eight games and generally being very hard to get past.
Thibaut Courtois has also cut a reinvigorated figure in goal, pulling off some spectacular saves when needed and looking like the world-class player he is. However, if recent footage of Chelsea’s training regime for their ‘keepers is any indication, Antonio Conte is clearly keen they don’t rest on their laurels.
Chelsea’s goalkeepers were subjected to some intense training, using ping pong balls to keep their catching skills and reflexes intact. The method might strike some as unorthodox but it’s clear the players are having the time of their lives whilst partaking in training.
