(Tweets) “Biggest con artist in football” – Leeds fans not impressed with Anthony Knockaert’s display during 2-0 Brighton loss

Brighton cemented their place in the automatic promotion places of the Championship, as they notched a 2-0 win over high-flying Leeds. The Seagulls came into the match on a thirteen-match unbeaten run, and moved up to the top of the League with the win.

The loss left a bitter aftertaste for many of the Leeds’ fans in attendance, as they saw Kalvin Phillips get sent off in the first quarter of the match, and two penalties being awarded to their opposition.

The fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure, especially over the willingness of Brighton players to go down at the slightest contact.

Brighton winger Anthony Knockaert took most of the flak, for his constant, and sometimes even comical lunges. The Frenchman has a history of theatrics, and here he was found to be the butt of the Leeds fans’ frustrations.

Check out the reactions from the Leeds fans below!

  1. Think the tweets above show just what a soft shite Knockaert is. Keith – Talking of fans and class Brighten for all their numbers at home are cringe worthy. More noise from my sons School Christmas carols. I am willing to wager that Leeds finish above Brighton come the end of season. Saw nothing to be overly concerned about in your team or performance and think your position in the table is giving your lot false hope. You will do exactly the same as the 6 fingured lot from East Anglia and slide away back to oblivion
