Leeds United’s 2-0 win over Reading saw them move into 5th position on the points table, thus maintaining what has been a largely solid start to the season. Garry Monk’s men had little trouble getting the win as Reading, despite having lots of possession, weren’t allowed to create much throughout the game.
However, there was one particularly nervy moment for the Whites. A lobbed ball into the penalty area saw Robert Green helplessly flap at the ball, managing to land only a weak punch. The ball fell in a comfortable area for the attacking Reading players, but Leeds were saved by the heroics of Pontus Jansson.
The Swedish defender flung his body in front of goal and incredibly managed to block the shot away, saving Rob Green the blushes and ensuring a clean sheet for Leeds.
