With twelve goals and five assists so far in the league, Arsenal finally do have a real world class striker in the form of Alexis Sanchez. The former Barcelona man has seamlessly reinvented himself into the striker role after being preferred over Oliver Giroud this season.
Alexis’ successful reintegration into a central role has seen him drawn comparisons to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry who himself played a more wide role before his conversion into a world class striker.
In the wake of such expectation, the Chilean has more than justified the comparisons with some superb performances this term. Compared to top strikers around the world, Sanchez has contributed more goals than any other player with the 27 year old having a hand in 17 goals so far.
In comparison, Ronaldo, the current Ballon d’or holder contributed to 12 goals.
