Chelsea’s remarkable run at the top of the Premier League continued against Bournemouth as the Blues notched up an impressive twelfth win on the trot last night.
Eddie Howe’s side were set up to contain the Blues but a brace from Pedro with an Eden Hazard penalty sandwiched in between was enough to give Antonio Conte’s side some post-Christmas cheer.
Pedro, like most of his teammates, looks a new player this season. After a debut season that saw him underwhelm, many expected the Spain international to be sold, with rumoured interest coming from his boyhood club Barcelona. However, he stuck around and continues to experience good form under Conte.
Pedro’s opening goal was the most memorable one of the night and he topped it off with a unique celebration. Running towards Chelsea faithful to celebrate in front of them, the Spaniard then uprooted the corner flag with a couple of flying kung-fu style kicks.
