Manchester United recorded their fourth victory in as many games after a fine 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day. Jose Mourinho’s men have been putting on some solid displays as of late and whilst a title push seems unlikely at this point, making the top four seems a realistic target for them.
The game would probably be remembered for Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s stunning scorpion kick goal, but it was a good performance all around, with Paul Pogba once again in a starring role.
United’s record signing has finally found his feet and he was in imperious form, pulling the strings from midfield. The Frenchman also showed off his amazing passing range on two particular occasions.
Standing deep in midfield, he almost nonchalantly played two pinpoint accurate long passes to Antonio Valencia. Even more amazingly, both passes occurred in different halves of the game yet the results were the same.
