Thanks to Kyle Bartley’s header and a Chris Wood brace, Leeds faced no troubles in their easy 3-0 demolition of Rotherham United at Elland road on Monday.
Leaving behind the dull start to the fixture, the game after half time, in the typical Yorkshire derby fashion, became a hotly contested affair with Leeds dominating and passions flaring.
Leading the way for Gary Monk’s side in this regard was full back Gaetano Berardi. In an instance during the game, Berardi flung the ball out of play while throwing a Rotherham player to the ground, for which he was lucky to not be booked.
Almost immediately after that, the Swiss national thwarted an attack by Rotherham’s Darnell Fisher by desperately blocking his run right at the edge of the box. The referee was forced to separate the two players after a heated verbal spat that followed.
