The season so far has been a very enthralling one for Leeds United with the club enjoying one of their finest seasons in recent memory. Along with an impending change in unpopular ownership, Garry Monk’s charges remain strongly in contention for promotion with half the season played.
The fans also remain firmly committed to the club with the performances and gestures of the players drawing the fans ever closer to the club. Following Monday’s 3-0 home triumph over Rotherham United, the Leeds team’s commitment towards their fans was on display yet again, this time featuring star striker Chris Wood.
The New Zealand star apparently had to say no when he got a request from a fan’s daughter asking for his shirt as he had promised it to someone else.
Yet not wanting to let the fan down, the striker, in a most caring gesture asked for his shirt from the first half and handed over the shirt to the little girl.
