Marcus Rashford’s second season as part of the Manchester United first team has left a lot to be desired as far as performances go. The youngster has gotten a surprisingly good amount of game time under Jose Mourinho, but has largely struggled to impact the game the way he was last season.
This is something that can be expected; after all, he is still a young player with plenty of time to improve. During United’s recent 4-0 FA Cup victory over Reading, Rashford finally broke his goal drought with a double.
The second goal was down largely to Ali Al-Habsi’s error, but United fans noticed something entirely different about the goal.
Rashford has recently developed something of an affinity for smashing the ball in from near the goal, and that was exactly what he proceeded to do. This saw United fans take to social media to profess their admiration of the lad’s propensity of hammering the ball home from near quarters.

Absolutely a huge fan of Marcus Rashford's unnecessary commitment to smashing in 1 yard tap ins.

Not sure what I've loved more this season. Rojo's two unpunished two foot lunges or Rashford's two 1 yard out empty net power whackers!?

Do love Rashford's inability to not leather the ball in from 1 yard out

That's two Sunday League 1 yard bangers for the season for Marcus Rashford. As many as some will get in their careers. Outstanding stuff.

Marcus Rashford absolutely smashing it in from 1 yard out. I'm sure he's done that before. #MUNREA

Is the Marcus Rashford thunderbastard from 1 yard the most electrifying move in sports entertainment?

That Rashford goal is to good man, 1 yard out without no keeper and he still managed to score it. Absolute screamer!
