West Ham Dimitri Payet rocked the footballing world after boss Slaven Bilic revealed that the midfielder has made the shocking decision to go on strike following the club’s refusal to sell him. The Frenchman’s unprecedented move comes after his former club Marseille’s £20 million offer was rejected by the Hammers.
Manager Slaven Bilic disappointingly said in his presser yesterday that Payet has stopped training with the team and won’t feature in the squad during Sunday’s crucial league fixture against Crystal Palace.
Payet, who renewed his contract worth £125,000 a week just last February, was quoted saying that he would “never kick a ball with the club again.”
While the club’s management is in damage control mode, the fans took to internet and absolutely slaughtered Payet’s Wikipedia page. The Hammers faithful understandably made their disgust towards the player felt by calling him a snake and some even questioned his credentials for finding a new home.
