Leeds United are riding high in the Championship, and are currently shoo-ins to make the playoffs and perhaps even secure promotion to the English Premier League.
For fans of the club, it would be a welcome change after years of obscurity brought about by bad finances that in turn affected what they could do on the pitch.
A large amount of credit for this must go to Garry Monk and his coaching staff. Young and motivated, they have done a great job in turning around the fortunes of the club. Amazingly, a member of their coaching staff recently demonstrated that he could perhaps have a few more games left in him.
James Beattie, who’s been successful for a variety of English clubs and has been a part of Monk’s coaching staff since his Swansea days, was captured doing some shooting during a training session.
The former striker managed to curve in an absolute peach of a shot from the edge of the penalty area, leaving the goalkeeper for dead. See the video of Beattie’s amazing strike here
