Arsenal official Twitter with an absolute fire tweet after Danny Welbeck’s chipped goal v Southampton

Arsenal’s FA Cup campaign remained well on course after dishing out an absolute thrashing to a weakened Southampton side, beating them 5-0. The star performer of the game was undoubtedly Danny Welbeck, who returned after a long spell on the sidelines and scored a brace, showcasing his readiness to challenge for a first-team spot.

Of course, the England striker also managed to make the internet have a mini-meltdown during the game. After scoring an absolute peach of a goal by chipping the ball over the ‘keeper, Dat Guy Welbz celebrated the goal by paying tribute to the “Salt Bae” meme that has recently become a viral sensation.

To make things better, the celebration was noticed by Arsenal’s official Twitter handle, which resulted in them posting quite an apt tweet considering the events that had taken place.

Whilst the club’s social media game can be unintentionally hilarious sometimes, this tweet was straight fire, using both the celebration and the goal to good effect.
